Future
Dear Readers,
So far, I have written about dealing with the past and the present, but what about the future? I mentioned in my last post that living in the moment is, in my opinion, the best way to live. However, I don’t necessarily mean to ignore the future all together.
Take me for example; I have a new move coming up, a new job, a new baby, multiple projects on the go, and so on and so forth. Of course I am looking forward to these things, but these are all good things. It’s easy to look forward to good things.
Uncertainty is what causes stress. Stress leads to anxiety, anxiety leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to the dark side (haha….Star Wars…) Knowing that a future event that is approaching can have either a good outcome or a bad outcome, can certainly create stress.
How does one remedy this? Steve Jobs once said “You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something – your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.”
He is absolutely right. The future belongs to those who prepare for it today.
