This project has been a major part of my life for many years, and I’m incredibly excited that the Second Edition of Rise of the Last Paladin is finally approaching release and my second book, The Shattered Veil, soon after.

Hello friends!

A few months ago, I briefly mentioned that a Second Edition of Rise of the Last Paladin was in the works. At the time, I wasn’t ready to say much more than that. The project was still taking shape, and there was a lot of work ahead.

Now, with the finish line finally in sight, I’m excited to officially share what I’ve been working on.

About a year and a half ago, I released my first novel, Rise of the Last Paladin, set in the world of Nathakra. What many people don’t know is that Nathakra had already been living in my head for well over a decade before that book ever saw the light of day.

But bringing a world from imagination to paper is never a perfect translation. As proud as I was of the book, a great deal of what made Nathakra feel alive to me never found its way onto the page. There were stories left untold, details left unexplored, and foundations that I knew could be strengthened.

Once the first book was published, I immediately started work on Book Two: The Shattered Veil. But as I wrote, I kept finding moments where I wished I’d planted a seed earlier, expanded an idea further, or laid a stronger foundation for what was still to come.

And somewhere along the way, I realized something else: my writing had improved.

The characters felt more real. The world had become bigger, deeper, and more connected than I had originally imagined.

The more I grew as a writer, the more I realized there were parts of the first book that deserved a little more room to breathe. Not because the original was wrong. But because Nathakra had grown.

So, like many authors before me, including Tolkien, who will forever be my greatest inspiration, I went back and revisited the story. I expanded scenes, strengthened the worldbuilding, refined the lore, and built a stronger foundation for everything that’s still to come.

This is not a rewrite. The heart of the story remains exactly the same. Instead, this new edition represents the story as I always envisioned it, enriched by the experience I’ve gained since first publishing the book.

And today, I’m thrilled to announce that the Second Edition of Rise of the Last Paladin will be releasing on August 1st, 2026!!

For those eager to continue the adventure, I’m also happy to share that Book Two, The Shattered Veil, is currently in the review process right now and if all goes according to plan, I hope to be able to release it in late Q4 2026!!

I cannot thank you enough for the support you’ve shown over the past year and a half. Whether you’ve read the book, left a review, shared it with a friend, or simply followed along on this journey, you’ve helped make all of this possible.

The road ahead is just beginning, and I can’t wait to share more of Nathakra with all of you.
