Sharing My Passion, Obsession, World
The World of Nathakra
Putting my work, my passion, my obsession out into the world is no easy task, especially when it’s something so close to my heart. Nathakra is a window into a passion project I’ve been nurturing for over 15 years now—a world of imagination, creativity, and storytelling that has grown alongside me. It’s both exciting and terrifying to share it with others.
At its core, Nathakra is a fantasy world filled with rich lore, unique characters, and a tapestry of stories that I’ve been weaving together for years. It all started with scribbled notes, sketches, and ideas that I never thought would see the light of day. Over time, those scattered thoughts have evolved into something far bigger than I ever imagined.
Currently, I’m working on book 1 of a planned trilogy set in Nathakra written for teen readers. It’s a story of adventure, self-discovery, and deeper lessons about life and teamwork. What started out as a gift for Xander (who loves reading fantasy and Nathakra as well) ended up becoming something more that I plan to publish. I was hoping to have it ready for Christmas but it will likely be in Q1 of 2025. Keep a look out for The Chronicles of Nathakra – Rise of the Last Paladin

At the same time, I’ve been rebuilding the website, going through years of notes and fleshing out the lore. I’ll be the first to admit that much of it is still a work in progress—some parts are broken or incomplete or don’t fit in to the broader narrative as I piece everything together. But that’s part of the journey, right? I correct, change and patch as I go.
Nathakra has grown into more than just a creative outlet. It’s become a world I’m proud to share, even if it feels daunting to put it out there for everyone to see. Every step of this process—whether it’s writing, editing, or updating the site—brings me closer to realizing the full potential of this universe.
My ultimate dream is to have Nathakra join the ranks of the great fantasy worlds—Middle Earth, Westeros, Faerûn, Krynn, and Exandria, just to name a few.
I know that’s a lofty goal, but every great world started somewhere. If you’re someone who loves deep lore, intricate world-building, backstories, and unraveling mysteries, maybe Nathakra is for you. My hope is that it resonates with people who enjoy diving into fully fleshed-out settings and exploring the endless possibilities they offer.
Another one of my biggest aspirations is for Nathakra to one day become a campaign setting for Dungeons & Dragons. It’s heavily inspired by D&D, crafted under the OGL, but with my own twist. I’ve designed it to be compatible with 5e while adding unique locations, creatures, and races that make it feel distinctly “Nathakra.”
I also have various projects in other stages (board games, video games, a more adult themed novel series and more)
If you’ve ever worked on a passion project, you know how it feels to pour your heart and soul into something. Sharing it with the world feels like exposing a piece of yourself, but it’s also incredibly rewarding.
So, I invite you to explore Nathakra with me. Whether you’re interested in the developing lore, the upcoming book, or just seeing what this creative journey has led to, you’re welcome to be part of it. After all, this world isn’t just mine—it’s meant to be shared, experienced, and, hopefully, enjoyed.
Check it out at Nathakra.ca, and let me know what you think.
What passions have you been working on lately? What’s your ultimate dream project? Let me know—after all, sharing our passions is what keeps creativity alive!
As always, you only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough. Embrace the adventure, cherish the memories, and be brave. I’ll catch you next time!
